    Bone Densitometry
    Bone Densitometry is becoming an established and essential tool in the prevention and management of osteoporosis by measuring bone mass. The test involves a low intensity x-ray scan, and takes two measurements; one of the spine and one of the hip. The radiation involved is extremely low, due to the advanced equipment used, although scanning of pregnant women should still be avoided.
